Office desk from Reclaimed X-Ray Control Table

This table was control table for commercial X-Ray machine that was going to be thrown out. It is a solid build metal table that had potential . I have been meaning to make a table and this was going to be a first step on learning this skill . So I asked my cousin Matt to help me and he had this Ash he was willing to barter(for work I have done in his shop) . We plane and glued the top in his shop . He has old Delta with 5HP motor. Top is way longer and wider than I am used to. I was uncomfortable using it. We finished the glue-up there and I got the top back to my shop to finish. There was a lot of sanding . A LOT. 4 coats of Wipe on Poly to finish. It is a HEAVY desk. Thank you for watching. Utkan
