Steel Rebar Hanging Plant Stand

My wife got some hanging plants for her classroom and needed a Standing holder on level with Kindergarten kids so they can water the plants. So most economical idea was to use Rebar. So I got 10' rebar from Home Depot and got to work. She told me it had to fit on a corner between 2 classroom furniture and did not want it to stick out so kids won't hit their feet on the stand. I ended up cutting 2 X 12 inch sides one 11" middle piece and connected the side to middle with 9 and a half inch rebar. Standing part is 36" and sticks out 7 inches. I drilled a hole on the tip and use stainless steel hook to hold the plant. I sprayed the metal with polyurethane spray after wire brushing and wiping with acetone
